Passengers can transfer to another train or bus before Hoboken for a Midtown Manhattan commute. At Hoboken Terminal, passengers can switch to the PATH to reach NYC. Lakeland Bus provides service from Boonton to NY Port Authority in Midtown. During rush hour, the bus ride takes about 55 minutes.

Boonton Public Schools serve students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Schools in the district are: School Street School (K-3), John Hill School (4-6), Middle School (7 & 8), and High School (9-12).
