Denville is known as the "Hub of Morris County" for its great location along the major transportation routes in the center of the Morris County, NJ. The Denville Township School District has two elementary schools grades K-5: Lakeview and Riverview. Valleyview Middle School serves grade 6–8. Public school students in grades 9-12 attend Morris Knolls High School. The high school is part of the Morris Hills Regional High School District, which also serves the residential communities of Rockaway Borough, Rockaway Township and Wharton. Morris Catholic High School is a four-year comprehensive Roman Catholic regional high school located in Denville.

Denville has lots of spirit and community involvement. Denville’s charming downtown has many restaurants and a variety of shops. Denville is ten minutes from the Rockaway Townsquare Mall which is anchored by Macy’s, JC Penny’s, Lord & Taylor, Target, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Rockaway Townsquare Mall is one of the largest and most modern malls in New Jersey.
