Lake Shawnee is the name of both a lake and the surrounding residential community. Lake Shawnee is located in Jefferson Township, New Jersey. Lake Shawnee boast six beaches that members of Lake Shawnee and their guests are welcome to use. The largest and most utilized beach is located at the entrance of Lake Shawnee from Route 15 North and adjacent to the Lake Shawnee Clubhouse. This beach has parking, picnic tables, a playground, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, and seasonal restrooms. The Second Beach is located at the corner of West Shawnee Trail and West Lakeview Trail. This beach has a playground, basketball courts and kayak racks. The Third Beach is located near the corner of corner of East Shawnee Trail and Mountain View Trail. It has a boat dock and swim raft. The other 3 beaches, White Cove, North End and Beaver Cove have boat docks and are great for fishing. Lake Shawnee’s Clubhouse is available to members of the Community for rent for special occasions and parties.

The Rockaway Townsquare Mall is about five miles away from Lake Shawnee. The Townsquare Mall which is anchored by Macy’s, JC Penny’s, Lord & Taylor, Target, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Rockaway Townsquare Mall is one of the largest and most modern malls in New Jersey. Traveling on Route 15 you will see numerous Strip Malls and Super Markets.
