Roxbury Township covers approximately 22 square miles in Morris County and is made up of six communities including Kenvil, Landing, Ledgewood, Berkshire Valley, Port Morris, and Succasunna. Roxbury is home to a busy commercial and retail shopping district located along Routes 10 and 46, which includes the Ledgewood and Roxbury Malls. The township’s border stretches to the shores of Lake Hopatcong, which is New Jersey’s largest man-made lake. Succasunna is located in a valley and borders Mooney Mountain to the west. Roxbury was founded in 1740 and is rich in history.

Roxbury Township offers a variety of housing opportunities all within close proximity to public schools, shopping, and major highways. Kenvil, Port Morris, Landing, and Shore Hills are sections of Roxbury that offer cozy, more affordable homes with smaller property sizes. Succasunna, perhaps the most desired section of the township, is perfect for families and boasts lots of community atmosphere with picturesque flowing neighborhoods. To the west of Succasunna, Mooney Mountain is home to several newer housing developments as well as some older neighborhoods that were built in the 60s and 70s that feature more spacious property sizes. Housing developments located in Roxbury Township include Suttontown, Eyland Woods, Hillside Estates, New Sunrise, Evergreen Estates, Camelot Estates, Alexandria, Pleasant Village Estates, Kingston Court, Forest Hollow, Deer View Estates, Fairways Edge, Hilltop Estates, Lookout Mountain, Mountain Park, Poet's Peak, Meredith Farms, Hunters Ridge, and Blueberry Ridge.

Roxbury’s Horseshoe Lake Recreational Area features swimming, picnic areas, a pavilion, playground, and sports fields for soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Roxbury has 13 parks that are beautifully maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department. Roxbury also has a very active Senior and Teen Center. The Shore Hills Country Club, located in Landing, has a beach and clubhouse on Lake Hopatcong and is available to residents of the towns surrounding Lake Hopatcong for an annual fee.

Roxbury is located at the crossroads of Routes 46, 10 and 80, just 50 miles west of New York City. The Mount Arlington Train Station is close by and is a NJ Transit park-and-ride station. Both the Morris-Essex Line and the Boonton-Montclair Line pass through this train station, with service to the Hoboken Terminal (NJ) or Penn Station (NYC). Lakeland Bus also provides service from the Mt. Arlington Train Station to Port Authority NYC. Residents can also commute to central NJ towns via Route 206 South, which is just west of Roxbury.

The Roxbury School District serves public school students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Schools in the district consist of four elementary schools: Franklin Elementary School (K-3), Kennedy Elementary School (K-4), Jefferson Elementary School (K-5) and Nixon Elementary School (K-3). Lincoln/Roosevelt School serves grades 5 and 6, Eisenhower Middle School serves grades 7 and 8. Grades 9–12 attend Roxbury High School. Students from the neighboring town of Mt. Arlington also attend Roxbury High School.

Roxbury is home to the Ledgewood Mall and Roxbury Mall. Roxbury is about 10 minutes away from the Rockaway Townsquare Mall which is anchored by Macy’s, JC Penny’s, Lord & Taylor, Target, Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Best Buy and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Rockaway Townsquare Mall is one of the largest and most modern malls in New Jersey. The International Trade Zone Shopping Center in Mount Olive, NJ is also close by with large chain stores like Lowes, Old Navy, and Walmart.
