Berkshire Ridge is a townhome community located in Oak Ridge in Jefferson Township in Morris County, NJ. There are approximately 215 townhomes in the complex which was built between 1987 and 1989. Berkshire Ridge offers units that range in size from approximately 900 to 1,600 square foot, not including basements. Models include the Ashley, Breton, Cambrian, Dakota, and Eden. The Ashley is a 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, ranch-style unit with a 1-car garage and basement. The Breton is a 2 bedroom, 2 full bath, multi-level unit with a 1-car garage and no basement. The Cambrian is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, multi-level unit with a 1-car garage and no basement. The Dakota is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, multi-level end unit with a 2-car garage and basement. The Eden is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath, multi-level end unit with a 2-car garage and basement and features a 1st floor master bedroom and 2nd floor den. Some of the units have finished basements. Some of the basements are walk-out or daylight basements. Berkshire Ridge has a wonderful location in the heart of Oak Ridge and is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Residents enjoy spectacular mountain views. The development is a condominium or condo association. As of the year 2017, Wilkin Management was employed by the residents. The monthly association fee was approximately $373 to $506 depending upon the size of the unit and includes exterior building maintenance, common area maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and sewer and water fees. Public Schools for residents include Milton School (PreK), Cozy Lake School (1&2), White Rock Elementary School (3-5), Jefferson Township Middle School (6-8), and Jefferson Township High School (9-12).

Commute

Residents can drive about 15 minutes to reach NJ Route 15 to connect to Interstate 80 for an eastbound commute. Lakeland Bus Lines provides service from the Rockaway Townsquare Mall in Rockaway Township to the NY Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan NYC. During rush hour, the bus ride takes about 60 minutes. Residents can also drive about 15 minutes to reach NJ Route 23 for an eastbound commute. NJ Transit has a bus line that runs down NJ Route 23 with service to the NY Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC.

Shopping

Within walking distance, there is a large shopping center on Berkshire Valley Road in Oak Ridge. The Rockaway Townsquare Mall is about 20 minutes away in Rockaway Township along Interstate 80 and is one of the largest and most modern malls in New Jersey. The Kinnelon Mall is about 25 minutes away in Kinnelon Borough along NJ Route 23. There are lots of national chain stores and restaurants within close proximity to each mall.
